Job Description
Position Summary - Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM, Cortland, IL (50 miles West of Chicago, near DeKalb, IL). Must be reliable and on-time for work, valid Illinois driver's license, clean driving record and background check.
Quality Assurance Technician - Job Responsibilities:
Assures consistent quality of manufactured parts though reliable inspection and measuring; validate processes while providing documentation for ISO management. Includes running small production parts on Haas CNC Machine with light buffing/grinding, balanced with other duties. Also includes material inventory/ordering and deliveries in company vehicle to pick up/drop off materials and parts.
  • Achieves Quality Assurance objectives by contributing information and analysis of machinist materials (incoming) and production (outgoing); implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Identifying and resolving problems; completing customer reports in ERP software; determining system improvements; implementing change when needed.
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; monitoring verification procedures and inventories.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintains and improves quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
