Quality Control Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Quality Control Supervisor to lead our inspection team and oversee day-to-day quality operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a smaller, collaborative environment and is looking for an opportunity to grow into a QC Manager position over time.
This is a hands-on role directly involved in inspection, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions
  • Supervise and support QC inspectors, ensuring consistent and accurate inspection processes.
  • Perform hands-on inspections as needed (incoming, in-process, and final)
  • Prepare and review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and applicable military specifications (MIL-STD)
  • Lead and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendors regarding quality issues and expectations.
  • Oversee final testing and documentation required by customers.
  • Continuously improving inspection methods, documentation, and workflows
Additional Duties
Employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical training preferred.
  • 3+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on inspection experience required, including incoming, in process, and final inspection.
  • Familiarity with military specification (MIL-STD) preferred.
  • Use of inspection tools and equipment to verify product conformance and quality standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9000 and familiarity with MIL standards
  • Hands-on inspection experience (this is essential)
  • Experience supervising or leading inspectors or small teams.
  • Ability to write and interpret FAI reports and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to take ownership.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specification.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Physical Requirements
  • Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements while handling components and inspection tools.
  • Able to lift and move materials or equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout production and inspection areas.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts, read technical documents, and use measuring equipment as needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
