What You'll Do

As a QC Inspector, you'll help ensure our precision machined and plated components meet the exacting standards required by our customers in the aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing industries.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and microscopic inspections of precision machined and plated components throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gage pins, optical comparators, Visual CMMs, and inspection microscopes.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Verify parts meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements.
  • Identify nonconforming material and complete required quality documentation, including rework and nonconformance reports.
  • Review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and manufacturing documentation for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Partner with Machining, Plating, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys precision work, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering exceptional quality.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-5 years quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience inspecting precision CNC machined components.
  • Experience inspecting electroplated components or working in a plating environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gage pins, optical comparators, Visual CMMs, and microscopes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills for inspection documentation and quality records.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export regulations).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent visual acuity, including prolonged microscope use.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to perform repetitive precision inspection tasks.
  • Frequently handle small, intricate components.
  • Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while using precision inspection equipment.

Compensation

The compensation range listed is PacAero's good faith estimate of the expected pay for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Final compensation is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, market data, and business needs. Total compensation includes opportunities for performance-based incentives, where applicable, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
