Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Inspector performs detailed inspections of materials, parts, and assemblies to maintain a consistent and high level of quality for all BMD products. This role does not involve pipe inspection. The inspector will work under the direction of the Quality Control Lead. The position is critical to maintaining product integrity, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mitigating safety concerns in field applications.


POSITION DETAILS:

Location: Beaumont, TX
Type: Full-Time
Travel Required: None


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications.
  • Use precision tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and coordinate measuring machines, etc.) to verify dimensional accuracy against engineering drawings.
  • Mark items for acceptance or rejection, record test results and inspection data, and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Compile reports of results.
  • Maintain precise inspection logs and compliance data.


REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and use of precision metrology equipment/techniques: Micrometers, Calipers, Thread Gauges, Pin Gauges, Height Gauges.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Ability to maintain neat and organized records/files.
