Position Summary

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, safety, and compliance of all Cheryl’s Herbs products and production processes. This role oversees quality standards for herbs, teas, tinctures, essential oils, supplements, packaging, labeling, and fulfillment operations.

The QA/QC Specialist supports product integrity by monitoring incoming materials, production procedures, labeling accuracy, sanitation practices, inventory quality, and documentation processes while helping maintain the company’s commitment to high-quality herbal wellness products.


Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality control procedures and standards

  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and compliance

  • Verify adherence to company SOPs and quality guidelines

  • Conduct routine inspections of products, packaging, and labeling

  • Maintain batch records and quality documentation

  • Assist with implementation and improvement of QA systems


Quality Control
  • Inspect incoming herbs, ingredients, oils, packaging, and finished goods

  • Verify product identity, appearance, labeling accuracy, and expiration dates

  • Monitor product storage conditions and inventory rotation

  • Perform spot checks on packaged products and production batches

  • Investigate quality concerns, discrepancies, or damaged inventory

  • Remove nonconforming products from inventory when necessary


Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate quality assurance records and logs

  • Ensure product labels comply with company standards and applicable regulations

Production & Packaging Oversight

  • Ensure sanitation procedures are followed during production

  • Assist with production audits and process improvements


Shipping & Inventory Quality
  • Review outgoing shipments for order accuracy and product quality

  • Inspect returned or damaged products

  • Monitor inventory for expiration, contamination, or packaging issues

  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation


Training & Team Support
  • Train staff on quality standards and SOPs

  • Promote quality awareness throughout the organization

  • Collaborate with retail, production, and management teams
