Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. KRS Division dba Kaydon Ring amp; Seal (“KRS”) is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial applications. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine/airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of KRS.
Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for administering company policies and procedures for employees of KRS and for completing administrative tasks efficiently, confidentially and error-free.
This position is operational in nature and is expected to maintain a regular on-site presence, serving as a trusted partner for the Human Resources department while performing a variety of administrative job duties.
Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with handling day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including ordering catering requests, data entry, filing, scanning, etc.
  • Provide recruitment assistance to HR Generalist and HR Manager by scheduling interviews, preparing offers, and submitting background checks.
  • Prepare orientation documents for employee onboarding.
  • Track and maintain training records.
  • Assist employees with general questions.
  • Administer attendance policy, track absences, and provide weekly updates to department.
Additional Duties
  • Serves as back up for union payroll processing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with business needs.
  • Assist with planning and execution employee appreciation activities and events.
  • Complete other administrative duties to assist management team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Business or a related field and a minimum of one (1) year of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment; OR
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three (3) years human resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Labor relations experience.
  • Payroll processing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to organize and prioritize work.
  • Time management skills to ensure that administrative tasks are completed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment
  • Role is part-time with up to 25 hours per week.
  • Regular on-site presence at Hanover, PA location.
  • Work is performed in an office environment while supporting manufacturing and industrial environment.
