Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quality Control Inspector II to join our dynamic team. Calhoun is growing rapidly and needs energetic, ambitious people to help us grow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with training and checklist development to support quality compliance.
  • Provide specialized training and support for material review and quality documentation.
  • Develop and update company quality training materials and the Quality Corner newsletter.
Maintain site quality on assigned projects, including but not limited to:
  • Conduct site quality audits.
  • Document quality deficiencies, risks, help senior site leadership with corrective action plans.
  • Provide site quality updates and follow-up support.
  • Assist with concrete mix design reviews and related quality requirements.
  • Verify submitted materials are correct for concrete crews and subcontractors.
Maintain quality documentation, including but not limited to:
  • Daily quality reports.
  • Work quality documentation.
  • Site quality and stored-material documentation for concrete work.
  • Managing Concrete quality checklists.
  • Checklist compliance in accordance with concrete job requirements.
  • Maintain a positive & helpful attitude with all employees, vendors, and other personnel onsite
  • Assist senior staff with quality reporting, documentation, and basic data entry.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of quality experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based documentation tools.
  • Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to moderately complex documents affecting projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, prints, surveys and drawings
  • Knowledge of construction processes and terminology
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
  • Working knowledge of applicable quality standards and construction-related requirements, including ASTM and ACI standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain quality-related certifications as required, such as ACI or ASTM certifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
