Job description

TITLE: Quality Control Technician II
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance
POSITION REPORT TO: Quality Assurance Manager
REVISION DATE: 9/14/2022
SUMMARY: The Quality Control Technician II is responsible for ensuring Cuisine Solutions products meet the company's food safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
SHIFT HOURS: 7am-3:30pm
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a restaurant, food industry, or sanitation company
  • Ability to demonstrates values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork, and collaboration, accountability and performance
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully complete Cuisine Solutions Food Manager Certificate, HACCP training and sous vide training.
  • Exposure to sous vide food industry production audits, good manufacturing practices, and other

food safety standards a plus
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent combination of education and experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Conducts and documents quality control inspections/controls.
  2. Conducts and documents employee inspections for personal hygiene and Good Manufacturing

Practices (GMP).
  1. Collects samples for laboratory or sensory testing.
  2. Performs equipment calibration as established by the QA procedures.
  3. Responsible for identifying and investigating non-conformities.
  4. Serves as the point of contact with the USDA Inspector and follows up on any requests in addition to coordinating any action resulting from such requests.
  5. Assists with the training of new QA and production staff.
  6. Works on specific technical projects, including but not limited to, training and special inspections.
