Job description

Position Summary:  Plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, material, and products on one production line by performing the following duties.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Include the following.

  • Record & document information necessary for trace-recall of finished product
  • Record all weights necessary to meet customer finished product specifications
  • Record all HACCP checks with supporting documents to assure all critical control points are met
  • Monitor Company Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Gather all samples for Micro analysis
  • Support QA Supervisors in all areas
  • Check and record quality and weights according to specifications
  • Monitor waste
  • Monitor employees for accurate appearance defect removal
  • Perform bake and fry tests
  • Check and record packaging and date code information based on specifications
  • Potato temperatures in the oven
  • Work indirectly with engineers on department improvements
  • Work with maintenance to ensure 97% uptime
  • Responsible for training other employees
  • Responsible for managing time and taking breaks without relief
  • Document accurate paperwork and checks as required
  • Be in conformance with customer specifications on incoming raw product
  • Work with enthusiasm and sense of urgency daily
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards and good manufacturing practices
  • Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provided
  • Perform other duties as required or directed

“This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.”

Education, prior work experience and specialized skill and knowledge:  Ability to understand and communicate effectively.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, round, compute averages and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

Physical environment/working condition: The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands, fingers and arms to handle, feel and reach.  The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
