Job description

Summary: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for laboratory testing and QC checks to support production activities throughout the plant.

Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Routine and non-routine laboratory testing.

  • Maintenance and organization of the laboratory including supplies and documents.

  • QC checks throughout the facility for compliance.

  • Perform pre-op checklists.

  • Conduct environmental monitoring.

  • Review and disposition raw materials.

  • Conduct ATP swabbing of equipment.

  • Place non-conforming materials on hold.

  • Enter all QC data and maintain records and logs.

  • Perform daily equipment calibration and verification.

  • Communicate quality updates to production.

  • Communicate directives and provide instruction to production employees.

  • Facilitate compliance of foreign material program.

  • Verification of sanitation procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.

  • Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years experience in quality assurance position in manufacturing environment.
