Job description

Title: Sewing Inspector
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6am-3:30pm, Fri 6am-10am (Overtime as needed)
Pay: $19 per hour
Location: Conover, NC
Job Type: Temp to Hire
We are seeking Experienced Sewing Inspectors to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and who thrives in a collaborative, quality-focused workplace.
Job Duties:
  • Perform a visual inspection of the finished product to ensure:
    • Stitches are straight.
    • Pattern is correct according to production ticket.
    • Piece is Upholstered correctly to specifications.
    • There are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / Leather.
    • Legs and finishes of legs are correct
  • Make repairs as needed.
  • Push piece back to upholster to correct issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to read a ruler.
  • Must be able to read an order ticket
  • Must be able to tell the difference in finishes of the legs.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues is required.
  • Strict attention to detail is a must.
  • Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Must have strong English language skills, including:
    • Reading
    • Comprehending
    • Speaking
    • Writing
    • Communication
