Job Summary

Job Title: QAQC Administrator and Scheduler

Reports to: VP of Operations

Location: Des Moines, IA

FLSA Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Position Description. The QA/QC Administrator and Scheduler position is a critical role within Baker Electric, Inc., a subsidiary of publicly traded EMCOR Group, Inc., and is located in Des Moines, IA. The position will partner with an assigned Project Manager, or to a team of Project Managers, to assist in maintaining project schedules and assisting with Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC documentation) and processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Project Management software, such as Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Support QA/QC processes, including document tracking, reporting, and compliance verification.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure schedule accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Assist with progress tracking, reporting, and schedule analysis.
  • Maintain organized records and project documentation.
  • Cross‑trains with other Project Associates and Project Manager Assistants in order to effectively assist, if necessary.
  • Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Division Manager / Executive Team with recommendations for resolution.
  • Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by executives.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Preferred Education and Experience (Knowledge)

  • Preferred 2-5 years related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required: Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • Should have some intermediate level knowledge of project management software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel formulas and formatting.
  • Ability to navigate and operate independently within general Windows based operating systems and web based applications, including an ERP system or other construction/financial software package; ability to learn new processes within the systems.
  • Experience with Bluebeam software preferred.
