Job description

Quality Control Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: Haines City, FL 33844
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM
Overtime: Friday and Saturday as needed based on business needs

About the Position
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team in Haines City! This is a great opportunity for someone with Quality Control or laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in accuracy, safety, and attention to detail. The Quality Control Technician will perform testing on raw materials and finished products, maintain accurate QC records, support laboratory operations, and work closely with Production and Plant Management to ensure products meet established quality specifications.

Schedule Details
  • Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM–1:30 AM
  • Friday & Saturday: Overtime as needed based on business needs
  • Holiday Weeks: 8-hour shifts, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM
  • Schedule may vary depending on production and business needs
Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, Health, and Quality (EHS/QC) policies and procedures.
  • Perform testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Accurately document and report QC results in a timely manner.
  • Communicate testing results and quality concerns to Plant Management and QC Management.
  • Work closely with the Production team as an active member and QC representative.
  • Enter QC data and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Collect Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and verify approval of incoming raw materials.
  • Track and maintain laboratory equipment calibration records.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of laboratory supplies and chemicals.
  • Assist with coordinating and preparing sample shipments.
  • Maintain formula integrity and prepare laboratory batches as needed.
  • Learn and support plant processes, quality controls, and production procedures.
  • Participate in special projects focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and process improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or QC Management.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Laboratory Housekeeping & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and work environment.
  • Promote safe work practices throughout the laboratory and production areas.
  • Ensure laboratories are properly stocked with required materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Follow all required PPE guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions, spills, hazards, or other safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 1–3 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to work overtime on Fridays and Saturdays when business needs require it.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
