Quality Control Technician

Job Summary: In this role you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and consistency of our manufactured building envelope products, including glazing systems, metal panels, and fabricated trims. You will work closely and collaboratively with the production teams to uphold standards and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce quality production standards and best practices
  • Inspect output samples using appropriate tools and methods (e.g., dimension checks, standard comparisons)
  • Review blueprints and specifications to ensure product accuracy
  • Train and guide team members, and recommend process improvements
  • Monitor proper use of tools and machinery while maintaining a strong safety culture
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and address quality concerns
  • Complete required reports and documentation as needed using excel and other software
  • Assist in other tasks and/or other departments as needed

Requirements

  • 1+ year's experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment or diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Drafting/Automotive/Manufacturing/Construction/Technical field
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/shop drawings
  • Ability to read precise measurements on a tape measure: 1/16th inch or 1 mm.
  • Strong attention to detail for quality of materials produced
  • Ability to work day shift, full-time, overtime shifts as needed
  • Familiarity with shop equipment and machinery such as CNC machines, shears, press brakes, power tools
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift, work in warehouse/shop that may not be climate controlled
  • Reliable transportation- can make the daily commute to our shop in Salt Lake City, UT
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred but not required: previous working experience with building envelope products (glazing, architectural metals), has used calipers and/or micrometers
