Job description

Atlas - Toronto, Ontario is seeking a detail-orientedQuality Control Specialistto support quality assurance activities in our ISO foam manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for in-process and final product inspections, data reporting, and supporting compliance with internal standards and external certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process line checks and final quality inspections, including:
    • Board and core density measurements
    • Compressive strength testing
    • Dimensional stability evaluations
    • K-value (R-value) verification
  • Accurately record and maintain quality data and inspection results inPeopleSoft
  • Support troubleshooting of production issues, including overpack conditions, temperature deviations, and incorrect material mix ratios
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues
  • Assist with internal and external inspections and audits, includingUL, FM, PIMA, ICC-ES, and other regulatory or customer-required audits
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, ISO procedures, and applicable industry requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant quality objectives
  • Consistent and regular attendance is a must
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimumtwo (2) years of experiencein quality control, quality compliance, or inspection within a manufacturing environment (foam, insulation, or chemical manufacturing preferred)
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing methods and quality documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production setting
  • Proficient in data entry and quality reporting systems (PeopleSoft experience an asset)
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment and requires regular interaction with production operations, testing equipment, and inspection activities.
