Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Job Description The Quality Control Inspector ensures that incoming raw materials, outsourced products, and finished goods consistently meet established quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role performs incoming inspections, in-process audits, and finished product checks, accurately documents findings, and partners closely with production, shipping, purchasing, and supply chain teams to identify, communicate, and resolve quality concerns. The position offers direct exposure to quality systems, production processes, and cross-functional operations, with opportunities for growth in a stable manufacturing setting. Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and outsourced products to verify they meet defined quality requirements.
  • Perform line clearance inspections before production runs to ensure the line is clean and properly set up.
  • Verify line cleanliness and confirm that correct packaging materials are in place prior to and during production.
  • Conduct finished product inspections, including checks of fill weights, seals, color, odor, torque, lot codes, and overall appearance.
  • Document all quality findings, deviations, and nonconformances in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Communicate quality issues promptly to production, shipping, purchasing, and supply chain teams to drive timely resolution.
  • Review batch records and production documentation to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with quality procedures.
  • Archive quality reports and records in accordance with established documentation and retention practices.
  • Train production personnel and operators on quality procedures, inspection techniques, and documentation requirements.
  • Support investigations into production quality issues and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Perform first-run inspections for new products to validate that specifications and quality expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with quality and production leadership to continuously improve inspection processes and quality standards.
