In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining our high standards of quality and precision, directly impacting customer satisfaction. This position reports to the QHSE Manager at our West Chicago facility.

What do we ask?
  • Inspect coated parts for coating thickness, coating adherence, surface finish, substrate & coating hardness, size and appearance, records inspection information consistent with prescribed methods and procedures
  • Conduct audits under supervision; control plan audits, product audits, 5S, HSE, QMS self-assessment and customer supplied audit forms
  • Responsibility for relevant Document and Data control, updates and maintains daily inspection logs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain a clean workstation; ensure it is functioning within required safety guidelines, and maintaining lab equipment
  • Communicates effectively to supervision and operating personnel to achieve optimum continuity of workflow and quality, and any other job-related problems
  • Use precision measuring instruments and makes precision inspection set-ups
  • Responsible for 5S Program (continuous improvement) in the QC area and other areas where assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a candidate with:
Two plus years' experience in a manufacturing environment completing QC inspections and procedures.
Minimum high school education with sufficient knowledge gained through experience. Associates Degree is preferred.
Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office and have good organization and time management.
Must pass a color vision test and math test, be able to sit/stand for long periods and be able to read small print, as small as 6 font and distinguish color differences.
Must be able to wear required PPE and have strong critical thinking skills.
The right candidate will have effective communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Good dexterity skills, able to handle precision machined parts. Ability to read instructions in English.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check and physical screening.
