PRYER Aerospace is hiring for a Full Time Quality Inspector for 1st Shift at the Claremore facility. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.

Position Summary

Applies basic technical skills and knowledge to perform in-process and final inspections of aircraft components, and parts to ensure the products meet company, customer and Federal Aviation Administration specifications and standards.

Essential Functions
  • Inspect manufactured parts and raw materials for conformity to standards, specifications and processing requirements.
  • Inspect for proper identity and dimensions using measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, calipers and Jo-blocks.
  • Verify specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawings or inspection instructions and checklists.
  • Maintain inspection records to meet company, customer and FAA requirements.
  • Perform in-process and final inspection and functional testing tasks such as hardness and conductivity that are simple to moderately complex requiring some skill, experience and judgment to complete.
Qualifications

Education: Associate degree in Inspection Technology and/or a minimum of two (2) years of inspection experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • AS9102 FAI experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality systems.
  • Assembly experience utilizing assembly jig tooling.
  • CMM, Faro Arm or Laser tracking experience a plus
  • Understanding of modeling and GD&T tolerancing
  • May be required to operate forklifts occasionally.

Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
