Job description

As a QC Technician, you will perform will support the testing and documentation needs of the Quality Control Department during the manufacture and release of Bio-Rad control products. This position will work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

This position is on the first shift with hours of: 7:00am to 3:30pm M-F 

Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot QC laboratory instruments.
  • Follow good laboratory practices.
  • Order supplies and maintain instrument preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Interface with other departments when required.
  • Evaluate assay runs for accuracy and acceptability to Quality Control procedures.
  • Enter results into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as required.

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a science field or equivalent clinical lab experience.
  • Experience working in QC or a clinical laboratory are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Experience in the use of clinical laboratory techniques and equipment. Experience in running chemistry, hematology, and immunoassay analyzers a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required. Experience with a LIS is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, remain flexible, manage time effectively and work independently.

Compensation: The estimated hourly rate for this position is $23.12 to $33.77 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
