Job description

Division: Bank Operations
Department: Deposit Operations
Reports to: Deposit Account Officer
Status: Non-Exempt
Grade: 6
Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.90
Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Purpose/Objective:
Responsible for the review and monitoring of customer profile and account changes to ensure accuracy and integrity of core system data. Performs quality control review of customer name and account changes performed by bank employees ensuring all were properly authorized, processed timely and accurately. Maintains high level of knowledge and understanding of core system customer profiles, deposit account origination, proper titling, required documentation and best practices to ensure the core system data is properly maintained and to allow for a clear understanding of a customer's relationship with the bank.
Key Accountabilities:
  • New Account Monitoring: Conducts quality control review of new checking, saving, and certificate deposit accounts. Works with frontline staff to resolve and correct inconsistencies of customer or account records that cause inaccurate data within the core system. Tracks and reports deposit account documentation missing from the bank's document archive. Conducts follow up with branches when necessary.
  • Account Titling Change Monitoring: Conducts quality control review of deposit account maintenance. Ensures processing was performed accurately so the customer's accounts work properly without any interruption of service. Tracks issues and remediates to close. Reports exceptions and unresolved issues to manager.
  • Safe Deposit Box Review: Conducts quality control review over new box leases and titling changes performed. Works with frontline staff to resolve and correct any inaccurate data stored in the core system. Tracks and reports any missing documentation in the bank's document archive.
  • Business Account Tracking: Monitors new business accounts opened, and maintenance transactions performed on existing businesses to ensure required Beneficial Ownership Forms are obtained, completed, and properly uploaded into document record retention as required.
  • Support and assist Branch Operations team as needed. Complete any assigned tasks and projects on a timely basis. Document and resolve issues within scope of responsibility.
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies, practices, and procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.

Education:
  • High school diploma
  • Associate degree preferred

Experience:
  • 1-2 years in bank operations
  • Experience in bank products/services
  • Knowledge of legal title and CIP requirements

  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
