Description
JLM Manufacturing is looking for a highly motivated individual to supervise the Confections FSQA team. This individual would be responsible for ensuring that GMP, HACCP, SOPs and other quality procedures are being followed.
  • Provide supervision and leadership to all plant employees when it comes to ensuring quality of product
  • Implementing and maintaining various Quality programs and systems, including HACCP, GMPs, Kosher, organic and SQF.
  • Provide information from Quality Manager to team members.
  • Assist in documentation, implementation, and training of all aspects of the QC Program
  • Continually monitor and maintain Daily QC Program
  • Constantly review and improve current processes to increase efficiencies and improve results through continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and support all QC Program activity such as environmental, foreign material, Allergen Control, cGMP, internal audits, and sanitation inspections.
  • Collaborate with other facility departmental managers and supervisors to ensure the training and enforcement of procedures.
  • Manage and organize the HOLD program regarding inventory and releasing of products.
  • Investigate lot number discrepancies for traceability purposes.
  • Verify effectiveness of quality systems affecting all aspects of manufacturing through trends and corrective actions.
  • Verify production at start, middle and end of processing. This includes: labeling and ingredient checks.
  • Independently implement corrective action/preventative actions.
  • Implement and perform in-process checks
  • Must spend at minimum 4/5 hours of workday on the production floor with cart
  • Upkeep of environmental monitoring program
  • Coverage on the floor when short staff
  • Train new QA techs
  • Responsible for upholding food Safety standards
  • Responsible for up keep of paperwork and logs
  • Preforming these tasks in a professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Certs - SQF, HACCP, Seafood HACCP, Food Defense
Education: Associates Degree or Higher
Experience: 1 year Supervisory required
Technical Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office (Access is a plus).
Knowledge: HACCP Certified, SQF Practitioner and/or PCQI preferred
Other:
Flexible - Work varying shifts to ensure the proper operation of the department, Saturdays when scheduled
Work in a fast paced environment with the ability to make independent decisions.
Physical Requirements: Able to bend, squat and stand for long periods of time.
