MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Associate Document Control Specialist located in Chicago, IL. Our client is a Natural gas and electricity industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. Position Summary

The Associate Document Control Specialist supports project teams by managing documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for document data entry, tracking, revision control, filing, and maintaining electronic records within a document management system. The position ensures project documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with established document control procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform data entry, document tracking, version control, and electronic filing activities.

Maintain and organize project documentation within the electronic document management system.

Ensure all documentation is current, accurate, and audit-ready.

Coordinate with internal teams to collect, process, and distribute project documents.

Review incoming documents for completeness and minor formatting or quality issues.

Make minor document corrections as needed and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Respond to internal requests for document retrieval, printing, and compilation.

Follow established document control procedures, checklists, and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

1+ years of administrative, document control, or data entry experience.

Experience supporting construction, engineering, utility, or project-based environments preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat/Professional.

Experience working with electronic document management systems (EDMS).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with document scanning, printing, and large-format plotters is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension

Location:  Chicago, IL 60601 – Hybrid

Shift hours:  Mon – Fri; 08 to 05
