Job description

Under the general direction of the Director of Quality, the Quality Associate is proficient in executing the essential duties and responsibilities of a Quality Associate III and serves as a resource in defining, creating, improving, and maintaining all Quality processes related to Operations, improving administrative efficiencies, and creating synergies for profitable growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M culture.
  • Develops, improves, and maintains all Quality team training and reference guides in collaboration with Operations to ensure Quality requirements are met.
  • Control of operations documents (work instructions, procedures, forms, reference guides, records, etc.)
  • Maintenance of customer part specifications in ERP system
  • Evaluate root cause analysis and corrective action for Operations Department.
  • Provide support with continuous improvement for Operations Department.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through complaint and claims resolution.
  • Implement project plans and management reporting tools for Quality projects to monitor progress and measure efficiencies to support Operations KPI’s and Objectives with guidance from the Director of Quality.
  • Works closely with Operations leadership to identify areas for Quality improvements to increase efficiency and quality of documents, tools, and reports.
  • Conduct Internal Audits of the Quality Management Systems.
  • Divide time between two facilities based on Operations and Quality needs.
  • Perform Layered Process Audits as required.
  • Maintain calibration of measurement gauges.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Although no direct reports, the position will provide quality focused guidance to Operations leadership as needed, and will serve on committees and special teams and perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, amp; ABILITIES
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 QMS Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Industry Standards
  • Ability to communicate with people outside the organization, represent the organization to customers, the public, and ability to articulate conversations well to convey information effectively.
  • Knowledge of Operations principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment and establishing quality standards for services.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft programs and windows-based applications
  • Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Industry knowledge and experience, a plus.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS amp; CERTIFICATIONS
  • ASQ Certifications in Foundational Quality, preferred.
    • Certified Quality Inspector
    • Certified Calibration Technician
    • Certified Quality Improvement Associate
