Description:

Responsible for identification, development, implementation and maintenance of various CM Virginia Hoist Division assembly process quality procedures and training in addition to assurance that our customers receive our products in good condition.

Requirements:
  • Analysis of assembly processes.
  • Development of critical assembly inspection criteria. Develop inspection plans identifying characteristics to inspect, methods of inspection, methods of recording and summarization of data to determine effects of required inspections (Quality metrics. Are we getting better?).
  • First article inspection of new product and changes in the assembly process.
  • Develop new item product inspection criteria.
  • Audit in process inspections.
  • Conduct regular dock audits.
  • Monitor packaging.
  • Determine first article test criteria.
  • Monitor and tabulate line rejects, looking for trends.
  • Study use of automated means to improve the quality of product (new test equipment, gauging, etc. )
  • Training of assembly associates (QA requirements for their job).
  • Monitor document control in the assembly area.
  • Develop method of display for assembly lines to visually indicate what progress is being made.
