Position Overview:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting products, materials, and processes to ensure they meet company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role performs testing, measurements, documentation, and analysis to identify defects, verify compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The main function of the Quality Control Technician will be to verify conformance to drawing and specifications. Specific responsibilities will include the following:

  • Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established quality standards.
  • Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional testing using measuring and testing equipment.
  • Record inspection and test results accurately in quality management systems and reports.
  • Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming products or processes.
  • Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.
  • Assist in maintenance of calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained.
  • Review production documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection methods and measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.


Qualifications: (Minimum & Preferred)

Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering required; equivalent technical degrees may be considered.

Experience and/or Training: 1-5 years of Quality experience. Experience in manufacturing or a related field a plus.

Technology/Equipment: Epicor and 1factory experience would be a plus
