Job description

Title: QA Analyst
Location: South Carolina - Remote
Job Description:
About the Role
  • We are looking for an experienced QA Analyst with strong expertise in the BFSI domain, including functional testing, data validation, and end-to-end quality assurance of financial applications.
  • The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating complex datasets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Functional & Manual Testing
  • Perform requirement analysis, create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on functional specifications.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing for BFSI applications.
  • Validate loan lifecycle, payments, collections, KYC/AML, risk, credit decisioning, or other BFSI processes depending on the project.
  • Ensure test deliverables comply with industry standards and internal QA processes.

Data Validation & Backend Testing
  • Perform data validation using SQL for high-volume financial datasets and transactional systems.
  • Validate data movements across multiple layers: source → staging → warehouse → downstream systems.
  • Conduct ETL testing, reconciliation, and data integrity checks for BFSI workflows.
  • Work with APIs, logs, and backend systems to troubleshoot data or functional issues.

Defect Management
  • Document defects with clear reproduction steps and severity classification.
  • Work closely with developers, BAs, and product teams for timely resolution.
  • Use tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar defect-tracking systems.

Collaboration & Delivery
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders for requirement clarification and UAT support.
  • Prepare test summary reports, QA metrics, and release readiness documentation.
