Job description

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Schedule Subject to Change)

POSITION SUMMARY

Leads day-to-day Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities at the distribution center to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety protocols. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, driving corrective actions, supporting audits, and partnering closely with operations leadership to maintain the highest levels of product quality, safety, and process integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Lead and execute daily warehouse quality assurance activities including inbound inspections, in-process checks, and outbound verification.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, GMP, HACCP, SQF (or equivalent), and all regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for externalaudits, process verifications, and facility walkthroughs.
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Item verificationand policy complianceon inbound receipts(cadencedeterminedby GM)
  • Leads and manages pest control in the DC facility

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide updates,awarenessand training(as needed)ofquality procedures, inspection techniques, and documentationwithWarehouseteams(new and existing).

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner closely with Operations General Manager, department managers, and the Shared Services Qualityteam to resolve quality issues.
  • Lead and managecustomer and third-partyqualityaudits.
  • Monitor quality-related KPIs and report trends to site leadership and HQ Quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process control.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintainaccuratequality records, inspection reports, and deviation documentation.
  • Prepare andsubmitrequired quality reports to HQ SeniorManagerQuality.
  • Manage hold/release processes for non-conforming materials or products.

What You Will Bring

Required

  • 5+ years of quality assurance experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2+ years in a lead or supervisory QA role.
  • Strong ability to communicate in English. Uses written, verbal, and nonverbal communication methods. Includes group interaction, presentation skills, etc. Multi-lingual helpful to position.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF/BRC, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and managing CAPA processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with quality documentation systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • SQF Practitioner or HACCP certification.
  • Experience in a multi-site or 3PL warehouse environment.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement training.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
