What does a Quality Assurance (QA) manager do?

A Quality Assurance (QA) Manager oversees the processes and teams responsible for ensuring that products or services meet defined quality standards before reaching customers. They develop testing procedures, coordinate QA activities, and work closely with other departments to identify and resolve quality issues. QA Managers also analyze data to improve processes and ensure compliance with regulations or industry standards. Their role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction and minimizing costly defects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Quality Assurance (QA) manager?

To thrive as a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, you need a strong background in quality management systems, process improvement, and a relevant degree—often in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
