Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of all aspects of a Software Quality Assurance Program in the business.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

        Define QA strategy, standards, approach and execution in all application development projects.

        Build, lead and direct an internal and/or offshore QA team.

        Lead interviews, onboarding, training and performance evaluation of all QA staff members.

        Provide leadership and technical expertise across the IT department in Test Automation and Quality Assurance.

        Select and implement appropriate tools to create a scalable QA organization within the business.

        Ensure the proper usage of those available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.

        Ensure that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.

        Design and implement a continuous QA improvements program including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation.

        Monitor of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement.  Work across the IT team to implement steps required to improve the processes.

        Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.

        Support M&A activities as requested.

Qualifications

        Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience required: preferably in a related discipline, such as Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or Management.

        12+ years' software testing experience.

        Prior QA leadership experience preferred.

        Experience managing testing departments of large and complex activities and processes.
