QA Supervisor

Location: Colonial Heights, VA
Salary: $54,000 – $61,000 annually

Schedule Requirements

  • Must be available to work all 3 shift - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, 11:00 PM -7:00 AM

  • Must be available to work weekends and overtime based on production demands

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated QA Supervisor to oversee Quality Assurance operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for supervising QA Technicians, maintaining quality procedures, coordinating audits, supporting laboratory operations, and ensuring products meet established quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have prior QA experience in manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support QA Technicians and daily QA lab operations

  • Maintain and update QA procedures and documentation

  • Coordinate incoming quality audits and inspections

  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards

  • Analyze test results and communicate findings to plant management

  • Assist with investigations involving raw materials, product complaints, and rejections

  • Make decisions regarding material holds, releases, and inspections

  • Coordinate maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment

  • Order and maintain lab supplies and materials as needed

  • Support ongoing employee training and development within the QA department

  • Work closely with production, vendors, and management to resolve quality concerns

  • Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Previous Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment required

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of quality procedures and inspections

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Knowledge of statistics or quality systems is a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing QA environment

  • Experience developing and maintaining QA procedures and controls

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with laboratory or testing equipment preferred

Physical & Work Environment

  • Work is performed in both climate-controlled office/lab settings and on the plant floor

  • Extensive walking may be required

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed to meet production and customer demands
