Job description

So, what's the role all about?

At NICE, we are evolving NiCE's flagship product suite, recognized as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS), delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions that power complex customer engagement and business workflows. We are looking for a Lead QA Architect to define how quality is engineered across this microservices-based platform.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, Architects, and Engineering teams to design and implement scalable quality architecture across distributed systems. You will play a critical role in shaping how systems are built, tested, and integrated - ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability at scale. This is a highly collaborative, global role where you will partner with teams across regions to drive technical excellence and continuous improvement.

How will you make an impact?

  • Define and evolve quality architecture for new product innovations in collaboration with Product and Architecture teams
  • Design and ensure robust integrations across microservices and systems within the NICE platform
  • Select and implement the right patterns, frameworks, and tools, particularly within the AWS ecosystem
  • Set technical direction end-to-end, partnering closely with engineering teams to embed quality into design and development
  • Drive long-term improvements in system quality, scalability, and reliability
  • Act as a technology evangelist, promoting best practices and raising the bar for engineering excellence
  • Contribute to the adoption of AI within products and internal processes
  • Collaborate with a global network of engineers and architects to influence platform-wide outcomes

Have you got what it takes?

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or related roles
  • 3+ years of experience in an architect or technical leadership capacity, defining system-level or quality architecture
  • Strong programming experience with PHP and JavaScript
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services, including:
    • ECS, EKS, EC2
    • SQS, Kinesis, Lambda
    • ElastiCache, RDS, Kafka
  • Experience working with OpenSearch or similar technologies
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and quality engineering practices
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, including:
    • Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
    • Clean Architecture principles
  • Proven ability to define and influence system-wide quality and architecture decisions across distributed systems
  • Experience working in complex integrations across multiple services or platforms
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders
