Job description

Primary Job Function:
Manage and mentor department associates and engineers in all areas of automotive quality related activities, productions quality systems, dimensional control processing, and PPAP functions. Focus on new inspection technology amp; operating systems. Provide department engineers with comprehensive evaluations to include clear performance improvement direction. Thai Summit Management representative for the Quality department and Customer representative for Quality. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by Management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Customer satisfaction
    • Cost, Quality, Delivery, Concerns/Conflicts
  • New business inquiries
    • Quotes, Develop process, timing, quality, capacity
    • Feasibility
  • Process and design.
  • Launch projects
    • APQP, PPAP
  • Implement and maintain quality systems that provide minimum part ppm to the customer facilities.
  • Supplier / in-house coordination and follow-up
  • Research and Development / New quality systems technology.
  • Develop and maintain quality engineering specifications.
  • Manufacturing Engineering VA/VE
  • Quality Concerns
  • Training/Guidance involvement with level A amp; B Quality Engineers.
  • All tasks as assigned by Management.
Basic Education, Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Must have relevant degree or combined education/experience in skilled trades or relevant field (design, stamping, process, AQ, CAD, or assembly).
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years at Thai Summit or equal in relevant Engineering or Quality experience with a similar company with similar products.
  • Ability to interpret Engineering and Quality information.
  • Must have demonstrated Management/Leadership experience.
