Job description

Quality Control Department

Direct Hire hourly role with rich benefit package

Position Summary:

The Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Associate is responsible for collaborating with production and suppliers on parts quality-related issues by responding to line-side calls, coordinating parts quarantines, and assisting with countermeasure activity related to defective parts. The SQA Associate will also be responsible for reporting any defects and/or trends to SQA Management.

Outline of duties:

  1. Respond to line calls from Production regarding suspected parts quality-related issues.
  2. Investigate and report any parts quality defects and concerns.
  3. Collaborate with production and suppliers to quarantine and countermeasure any suspected or confirmed defective parts.
  4. Work alongside a team to complete manufacturing processes towards the final assembly of Subaru vehicles.
  5. Participate in Safety, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) activities.
  6. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • 1+ Years of manufacturing Production or related experience
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification in Quality (ASQ, CMI, CQT, Six Sigma Greenbelt, etc.)
  • Experience with various precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, pin gages, height gages, etc.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Previous experience in automotive quality.
