Job description

The Production Bakery Lead is responsible for producing cookies, cakes and baked components used in our premium frozen desserts. This person assists with production and packaging of the finished product. They maintain the highest standards of quality, food safety, and consistency. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys both craftsmanship and production.


Responsibilities:

  • Scale ingredients, prepare, mix and bake cookies and other baked products according to established recipes.
  • Effectively operate commercial mixers, scales and bakery production equipment.
  • Monitor mix consistency, bake times and finished product quality.
  • Portion and package baked products for production.
  • Be aware of ingredient inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation and GMP procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize bakery equipment and work areas.
  • Record production data and batch information.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining product quality.
  • Assist with ice cream pasteurization and production as needed.
  • Assist with assembly and packaging of finished products.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of commercial baking experience.
  • Experience using commercial mixers, ovens and bakery equipment.
  • Strong understanding of baking processes.
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining production speed.
  • Ability to accurately record batch data information.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperatures.
  • Comfortable lifting 50 pounds.
  • Food safety certification (or willing to obtain one).
  • Dependable, punctual, ready to learn.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.
