SummaryPerforms inspections, checks testing and sampling procedures for product manufacturing processes. Completes and approves final product inspection prior to release for distribution. May draft procedures and assist with validating or troubleshooting testing methods, including assays.Job Description

Duties may include:

  • Follows written process/assembly documentation.
  • Inspects final product prior to release for distribution
  • May be cross-trained in additional production areas for final product inspection.
  • Adheres to all safety requirements.
  • Adheres to approved quality documents and maintains quality records per procedure.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • May assist in training other employees on QA inspector responsibilities.
  • May assist in preventative maintenance of standard production equipment.
  • May complete process audits and identify and contribute to improvements in area.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in a flow of manufacturing and test requirement documents.
  • Basic understanding of GMP and GDP
  • Basic understanding of several business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement.

Experience Level with Business Tools

  • Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Education and Experience

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience
