JOB STEP
Journeyman - Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.
Certified Journeyman -Requires attainment of NCCER certifications written and/or practical.
Leadman - Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in work crew, providing assistance to Foreman, while working in the capacity of a journeyman.
Maintenance
SUMMARY
Tests chemical and physical properties of materials used in manufacturing or assembling motor vehicles
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs standard chemical and physical tests on parts, solutions, and materials used in producing motor vehicles, using conventional and computerized machines and work aids.
- Conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses to determine chemical and physical properties of experimental and developmental materials
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
May require a high school diploma and previous years of experience in the field or in a related area

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
