Summary

SRP's Community, Communications, and Marketing department is looking for a Market Research Intern to join our Strategic Research & Insights team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced researchers to support custom market research projects that help inform business decisions and better understand customers and communities across the Phoenix area.

As a Market Research Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods. We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented, and data-driven student who enjoys problem-solving, learning new skills, and collaborating with others in a team environment. 

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department's needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative market research projects.
  • Support the collection, organization, and analysis of research data and key insights.
  • Support the various stages of the research process, including research planning, questionnaire development, data collection, and results reporting.
  • Collaborate with research team members and internal stakeholders to support projects and help deliver actionable insights.
  • Gain exposure to both quantitative and qualitative research methods while developing analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in a professional environment.
Education
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
Additional Requirements and Qualifications

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other researchers and teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to research quality.
  • Knowledge of a variety of survey methods (online, telephone, print mail)
  • Support multiple projects, actively prioritize efforts, and communicate progress.
  • Knowledge of Qualtrics or other survey platforms.
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
