The 'qualifying' designation means the contractor meets the experience, education, and examination requirements set by the state or licensing authority. This individual typically manages subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and quality control throughout the construction process. Qualifying General Contractors are often required for commercial, residential, and public works projects, and their license is sometimes necessary for companies to bid on and perform certain construction jobs.
