Job Description

General Summary

The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for month end close, intercompany accounting, including reconciliation and settlements. Other responsibilities include daily cash reporting and wire request creation. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for internal and external audit support, ad hoc reports and requests from management, special projects and department initiatives.

Responsible for month end close including preparing journal entries

Timely reconciliation intercompany balances with all entities, researching and resolving any variances

Responsible intercompany settlements, Calculate and confirm settlements amounts.

Creating account reconciliations and analysis.

Preparing ad hoc reports for, and responding to questions from, management and auditors (internal and external).

Daily cash reporting.

Backup for Vendor and customer refunds system set up.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Oracle experience preferred

3 years’ experience in Accounting Month-end close and account reconciliation

Experience with all facets of intercompany accounting.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work on special projects involving general ledger, taking the role of project lead when required.

Strong understanding of GAAP.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Adaptable to changing priorities and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Excellent excel skills, experience with ERP systems.
