JOB DETAILS
The Closing manager Reports to Manager. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Exceptional Customer service is a major component of this position. QSR / restaurant experience is required. Previous management experience a plus.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Must take full responsibility of all functions of the General Manager in his/her absence.
2. Must know full opening and closing procedures.
3. Manages a staff of approximately 6 to 12. Assigns, oversees and evaluates work. Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of employees. Must conduct written and verbal staff evaluations
4. Coordinates and supervises staff so that standards of cleanliness are maintained as outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
5. Supervises food preparation to ensure that food safety and operations standards are maintained.
6. Responsible for learning all management paperwork duties.
7. Assists with planning of special events and promotions.
8. Completes online coursework on the University of SUBWAY as directed.
9. Responsible for cash management and proper accounting.
10. Responsible for the training of new hires and the ongoing training of present team members.
11. You must meet with the GM on a weekly basis and review paperwork and cost controls.
12. You must be able to handle scheduling, cleaning lists, food order, purchase journal, etc.
13. Must control food and labor costs and follow all labor laws.
PREREQUISITIES Experience: Experience in QSR operations, preferably with supervisory experience. Requires excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of employees. computer knowledge is desirable. Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
