Job description

Overview:
The BIM Technician Assistant provides administrative support and services to the Pre-Construction and Project Support team.
Essential Functions:
1. Modeling (90%):
  • Provides BIM / CAD design and modeling support.
  • Assists BIM project team with content creation.
  • Assists with software deployment, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Performs tasks such as file archiving and uploading, laser engraving, generating QR-codes, scanning and printing labels and large format drawings.
  • Organize, track, and maintain department files, drawings, materials, documents, and correspondence.
  • Maintain all internal and external project files on the network and Procore.

2. Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned (10%).
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No related experience required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with Autodesk/Revit preferred.

Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or other related software.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Able to work in a team and independently when required.
  • Able to quickly learn and utilize company-specific techniques, standards, and procedures.
  • Able to follow department standards, methods, and best practices.

Work Environment:
  • Office environment.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
