Position Description:

The Director of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Compliance is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining a robust quality management system that ensures ongoing compliance with AS9100, AS13100, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory standards across the organization. This position plays a key strategic role in fostering a quality-focused culture, supporting business process excellence, and serving as a subject matter expert in quality and compliance matters for the aerospace industry. This position will cover all Enjet Aero locations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continual improvement of the organization's QMS to meet or exceed AS9100, AS13100 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Develop internal compliance metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems to monitor and drive quality performance across all departments.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external parties during third-party audits, customer assessments, and regulatory inspections.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations and ensure the development of effective corrective and preventive actions to resolve non-conformities and systemic issues.
  • Guide and mentor cross-functional teams on quality compliance, process controls, standard operating procedures, and documentation practices.
  • Oversee the gage calibration system and coordinate with third-party calibration service providers to ensure accurate, timely calibrations.
  • Ensure timely updates to the quality manual, procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to reinforce quality principles and regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
  • Provide strategic input to executive leadership on quality initiatives, trends, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
  • Progressive experience in quality management, with at least 3 years in the aerospace industry.
  • Expert-level knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, projects, and external quality engagements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with Root Cause Analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with quality management systems software and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed to all Enjet locations. Estimated travel 50-75%
