Job description

Applicants must have an Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Access (TS/SCI) About the Role

We are seeking a Personnel Security Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee and manage personnel security programs to ensure compliance with federal and company security policies. This role is critical to protecting our people, our technology, and our customers' trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain personnel security clearances in accordance with federal regulations (e.g., DoD 5200.2-R, ICD 704, NISPOM)
  • Process and track security clearance investigations and reinvestigations through DISS, e-QIP, and related systems
  • Conduct briefings and debriefings for classified personnel (initial, annual, and termination)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security records and databases
  • Provide guidance to employees and leadership on clearance requirements and procedures
  • Coordinate with government security offices, contract security officers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance
  • Support audits, inspections, and assessments to maintain program readiness
  • Assist with development and enforcement of internal security policies and training
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management and/or Criminal Justice
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel security or industrial security
  • Strong understanding of NISPOM, DISS, e-QIP, and other personnel security processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting technology, defense, or engineering organizations
  • Familiarity with JPAS-to-DISS transition and continuous evaluation programs
  • FSO certification (or willingness to obtain)

Clearance Required:

  • TS/SCI w/ poly
