Join Our Collaborative Team in Tempe, AZ

Aurora Behavioral Health System (ABHS) is seeking experienced, certified Art Therapists, Recreational Therapists, and Music Therapists to join our professional team on a Per Diem/As-Needed basis in Tempe, AZ. We are a freestanding psychiatric hospital offering both inpatient and outpatient programs for adolescents and adults dealing with a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

The Adjunctive Therapist develops, organizes, and implements comprehensive adjunctive therapy groups. This role is essential for our treatment program and requires:

· Providing therapeutic interventions for both adolescent and adult patients.

· Interacting with patients during daily routine activities consistent with the principles of normal growth and development.

· Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team.

What You'll Bring (Required Qualifications)

We are seeking credentialed and/or licensed professionals. To be considered a qualified applicant, you must meet one of the following educational/certification requirements:

· Certification from an accredited organization in a creative arts/expressive therapy or recreational/leisure therapy (e.g., MT-BC, CTRS, ATR).

o Note: Other nationally accepted certifications will be considered.

· A master's degree in counseling, Social Work, or another master's degree that is license-eligible (e.g., LPC, LCSW).

Additional Requirements:

· Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment.

· Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills.

· Must be 21 years of age and qualify for fingerprint clearance.

· CPR and Therapeutic Options (TO) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

· A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare field, preferably in inpatient psychiatric settings.

· Certification or expertise in Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Tai Chi, or Qigong.

· Understanding of, or ability to understand, DSM-5 methodology.
