Location: Aurora, OH
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Full-time, Non-exempt)
Department: Quality Control
Reports to: Quality Control Supervisor

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position will work directly on the production floor to ensure products are manufactured, packaged, labeled, and documented according to approved specifications, procedures, and Quality System requirements.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with both Production and Quality personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality inspections and checks throughout the manufacturing and packaging process.
  • Perform line clearance and verify correct materials, labels, packaging components, and documentation before production begins.
  • Verify production setup and finished products against approved prototypes, job reports, work orders, and specifications.
  • Review manufacturing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Collect and properly identify samples for in-process, finished product, stability, retention, and laboratory testing.
  • Perform applicable in-process and finished product testing, including pH, viscosity, and specific gravity.
  • Collect water samples for laboratory testing as required.
  • Verify proper product status identification, including released, hold, and rejected materials.
  • Monitor and track production labels and packaging components.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues, discrepancies, and documentation errors.
  • Complete quality documentation, including deviations, non-conforming material reports, line clearance forms, label tracking forms, and other quality records.
  • Work closely with Production and Quality Management to resolve quality issues and prevent errors.
  • Follow company SOPs, GMP requirements, safety procedures, and Quality System requirements.
  • Perform other Quality Control duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, specifications, work orders, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with Production and Quality personnel.
  • Previous manufacturing, Quality Control, laboratory, GMP, pharmaceutical,
  • cosmetic, food, or related experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including more than 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to equipment, chemicals, odors, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Must follow all applicable safety requirements and wear required PPE.
