Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician I to support laboratory operations in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for sample management, sample receipt and processing, shipping coordination, documentation review, and general laboratory support activities while ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Analytical Development, Material Management, and Corporate Quality teams to support product testing and release activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming samples, verify documentation, and enter sample information into LIMS.
  • Process, aliquot, label, store, and organize samples according to established procedures.
  • Coordinate sample transfers to internal and external laboratories.
  • Manage sample inventory and maintain sample storage areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and restocking of laboratory and storage areas.
  • Execute shipping activities and coordinate shipment of QC samples.
  • Review and maintain documentation including chain-of-custody records, sample logs, processing records, and laboratory logbooks.
  • Assist with deviation investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings and provide status updates.
  • Support Lean Lab and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional laboratory support activities as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree; OR
  • Associate Degree with 2+ years of Quality Control, laboratory, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or GMP experience; OR
  • High School Diploma with 3+ years of Quality Control, laboratory, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or GMP experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in FDA-regulated GMP laboratory environments.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control laboratory operations and sample management processes.
  • Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
  • Strong understanding of GMP documentation practices.
  • Experience reviewing laboratory records and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to support overtime and changing business priorities when needed.
