Description
The Quality Assurance Administrator is responsible for performing the duties assigned by the QA Supervisor, which will primarily focus on maintaining records of evidence for the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System and performing internal audits as assigned by the QA Manager.
Responsibilities not limited to:
1. Maintain Quality Records
  • Check and keep C of C's related to designed incoming materials such as steel and rubber products.
  • Oversee the calibration system to ensure all items requiring calibration are up to date.
  • Oversee and physically manage RMA materials once they have been received into the system.
  • Inspect and confirm transfers from other VMC facilities, reporting findings to supply chain.

2. Auditing
  • Perform and assist ISO Internal and External Audits as assigned.
  • Random sampling of in-process products to confirm specifications through dimensional checks.
  • Where a manufactured product does not meet quality specifications, QA investigates/reports production line failures and identifies products for re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs (record keeping).

3. Training
  • Perform New Employee Quality System Training for both shop and office personnel.
  • Understand SWIs sufficiently enough to give direction to new employees concerning QMS.

4. Other
  • Back-up Mechanical inspector

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of calibration processes for gauges and measurement equipment.
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis related to RMAs, customer complaints, and in-house inspection data.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints and apply specifications to product inspection.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools, including calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, durometers, and similar instruments.
  • Ability to complete an ISO internal auditor course within the first six months of employment.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Clear and professional written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and re-prioritize as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 (or similar) certified environment.
  • Experience reviewing and writing quality documents
  • Ability to travel 25% to 40%. (Domestic and International)
