Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager will manage the implementation and maintenance of the existing Quality Management Systems (QMS). This role will have high visibility and is the primary contact for business partners and customers with respect to all AIT Quality Assurance matters. This role will be responsible for the development of a 'best in class' Quality Assurance program that fully supports and meets the specialist logistics needs in AIT.
Responsibilities
  • Review and assess the scope / effectiveness of the existing Quality Management System ("QMS") framework established, including review and integration of existing AIT processes; leading an objective 'gap' analysis project on existing QMS framework
  • Assess existing validation status of AIT operating/QMS systems; develop recommendations/business case(s) for validation of existing AIT systems and/or implementation of a new validated QMS
  • Design and develop the scope and structure of a QA framework aligned with the existing AIT QMS framework
  • Design and create specific QA process / SOP documentation to be implemented within AIT
  • Provide ongoing input and guidance during the development and implementation of the AIT Inventory Management System ("IMS"), including guidance on software functionality necessary to effectively integrate with the QA program
  • Design, develop and implement a standardized audit program plan to ensure: (i) successful hosting and passing of customer audits, including lists of audit documentation and process demonstrations; and (ii) standardized auditing of AIT's vendor network globally, in conjunction with CSG network solutions management
  • Define, create and continue development of standardized audit responses and materials (verbal and written) to maximize efficiency and success rate of customer audits (including vendor / QA questionnaires issued during RFQ/customer on-boarding processes)
  • Define the compliance aspects of the QA program to determine and justify 'best in class' status and ensure the QMS is sufficiently robust and flexible to meet all requirements (i.e. develop a robust and defensible QA program); implement ongoing developments to ensure 'best in class' status is maintained
  • Identify, recruit and integrate suitable QA team candidates to build out a QA team in alignment with strategic growth plans
  • Network with corresponding departments within CSG and AIT to ensure compliance and integration of CSG QA functions
  • Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications (to be determined on an ongoing basis)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field required (Required) or
• High School Equivalent experience (Required)
Experience
• 5+ years Experience in Quality Management Systems (Required)
• 3+ years Experience in Warehousing and Logistics operations and freight forwarding (Preferred)
