Job Functions:
  • Perform First Article, in-process, receiving and final inspection in support of Assembly production activities
  • Approve incoming materials and parts by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conduction visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
  • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Participates in frequent and detailed recurrent training courses covering aerospace systems and requirements, company operations policy, etc
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures LLC

Position Requirements
Skills Required:
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret customer specifications and standards
  • Familiar with Geometric Tolerances, GDT
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated and well organized
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
  • Must pass yearly Inspector Vision Exam

Education and Experience Required:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry, preferred
  • Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, etc,, preferred
  • Corrective action and root cause experience, preferred
