Who We Are

We are changing the norm by being customer-focused, technology-led. viaPhoton builds custom-engineered fiber optic solutions that power AI infrastructure, data centers, and 5G networks for some of the biggest names in tech. In five years we've grown to a team of 200+ and 4x'd our revenue in the last year alone, and we're just getting started. We're looking for dependable, hardworking people who take pride in their work and want to grow with us.

About the Role

Your eye for detail keeps our products meeting the highest standards before they ship to major data centers and clients. You'll perform inspections at every stage of production, use specialized test equipment, and catch issues early. This is critical work that directly enhances our customers trust.

  • Perform in-process and final inspection of fiber optic connector terminations (LC, SC, MPO/MTP, MMC) using inspection microscopes per IEC/TIA standards
  • Measure and validate optical performance including insertion loss and return loss
  • Conduct line audits to monitor manufacturing processes for compliance and identify trends
  • Accurately record inspection results, test data, and document any nonconformances for traceability
  • Initiate containment actions when nonconforming material is detected and support first article and NPI inspections
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action activities

What You'll Bring

  • Have an associate degree in Engineering Technology or a 2-year diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical fields highly preferred, but not required
    • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude is more valuable than direct experience
  • Have 5+ years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus, but not required)
  • Have careful attention to detail and can use precision inspection equipment
  • Are willing to travel as needed
  • Can work methodically on detailed, repetitive inspection tasks
